Review by Black Raven : Steam Cleamer 3 Star

I think my expectations were too high after reading the reviews. This cleaner is good for small jobs. The lack of a strap makes it pain to carry around. But, since it did a very good job of cleaning a very greasy stove top it is a keeper.

Review by G. Morrison "Media Slave" : Workable steam cleaner. 5 Star

I have had have fun with Bissell items, so, given conflicting reviews for other products an inadequate reviews for that Steam Shot, I bought one. OK--it's correct. Commercials for such items are deceitful. Using chemical cleansers is a superb deal faster and "simpler" than this. Tortoise versus. the hare: This trudges very gradually in comparison to traditional cleaning. It takes persistence. My concerns with chemical cleansers range from the deposits remaining that attract grime and mud again, the unpleasantness of utilizing after which worrying about chemicals, and, the concerns about with them near food products, items, prep and cooking surfaces, and, containers and pans. The benefit of the Steam Shot (and, likely other similar "electric kettle" hands held friend products) is, that when a surface or item is clean, it "is" clean. I haven't any fear or qualms even about by using this on kitchen items, breadmakers, microwaves, and, oven home windows. It is also excellent at cleaning kitchen cabinet fronts and vertical surfaces like the outdoors from the dishwasher, trash compactor, and also the fridge. One factor this really is remarkable at gets at grime from a metal (or porcelain) surface (say, a sink or stove) and countertops (Formica, etc.). It's amazing at "rooting" out such grime! This is especially true from the "line" between back splashes and countertops. I believe that "touch-up" cleaning afterwards is going to be faster and simpler.... Candle wax around the brick from the hearth? (Or perhaps a wall?--I'll need now to patch-fresh paint!) The wax is tiresome to get rid of regardless, yet, this is actually the best answer I have found--the system certainly will melt wax to ensure that it's simpler to get rid of--absolutely! For waiting around the steam, I am simply busy with scrubbing having a cloth or observing where you can clean next--this isn't a large problem for me personally it appears that, as time continues, warming up again is fairly fast. I have heard the item's boiling water while warming up. Although it isn't always so hot, the steam may become really hot--I certainly accept is as true becomes hot enough to kill bad bacteria! It might certainly burn fingers, also, so safeguards are wise. Despite the other testers think, my Steam Shot becomes hot: It really works! I am not very sure, however the "kettle" inside seems to become composed of metal. The plastic from the unit as well as the add-ons seems to become top quality, also. (When carried out with the Steam Shot--let it awesome sufficiently, then, gradually open the knob until it's removed (steam may gradually vent while opening). Then, before dumping water, turn the system gradually on its side over your sink and dump water out--from you--hopefully, water will not "jet" out to your sink really rapidly or explosively. (If that's the case, this signifies the water is still super-heated and harmful (in the end, it had been both heated and pressurized): You wouldn't want it ever to "jet" out to you or other people. Allow the unit awesome sufficiently longer the next time!) Conclusion: This really is great, and that i enjoy cleaning by using it. For heavy cleaning, this involves persistence, but, In my opinion persistence is compensated and saves money! For several unique household cleaning needs, this will do the job very well! I've not attempted it, but, a dirty bar-b-q grate likely is simply too heavy a cleaning job for this. Have a tendency to is a discomfort....

Review by kizmette : This is a great little machine 5 Star

I purchased this Bissell Steam Shot Hard Surface Cleaner, for jobs like cleaning our kitchen grout, and along baseboards, and of course the sliding shower door tracks. Boy it does the job. I also got it for my husbands little garage frig. but have not used it there yet. It gets hot so fast, and the steam does last a long time. Of course you use up the little brushes it comes with, they kind of melt in the steam, so I just use an old tooth brush on the inside microwave things, and a stiff grout brush on the grout. You do have to scrub as you steam, you can't expect a miracle with just steam. But I know around the kitchen floor base boards it gets it good. We use a Haan floor steamer and love it too. But didn't choose their steamer because of reviews. I wanted steam because it is natural, and I am sure it is killing germs. I love this one and would buy it again.

Review by Midtown Girl : Easy to use 5 Star

The hand held steamer is easy to use and it is more light weight than another brand I had borrowed from a friend. I enjoy using it in the kitchen and the bathroom. It is good to use in all the nooks and crannies of the shower doors. I can't wait to use it to steam clothes. I think it will work alot better than the other clothes steamer I have, which is small, handheld and strictly for clothes.

Review by R. Wagner "allforone" : get ready for spring cleaning 4 Star

I think it's good, but I wish it had a little more power. I like to clean the nooks and cranies in the bath and around the shower door. I don't mind the size, I can get two bathrooms clean before the steam runs out. I think being able to shut it off until it is ready for use is a great feature. thumbs up!

Review by Jo Anne "travel bug" : Great handheld steamer and great price 5 Star

Got delivery of my new Bissell Steam Shot Hard Surface Cleaner around the exact date that Amazon . com scheduled. Observe that, for quite some time, I have used a Euro-Professional model that's mounted on the ground canister and includes the ground attachment. I really like it but recently, discover that while using the handheld attachment, I am stumbling round the cord, hose, or canister so made the decision to search for a handheld model. I bought a Haan a couple of several weeks ago but sent it back since it just did not measure to my old Euro-Professional. After more research, I bought the Bissell and I am SO happy with it. It had been well packed and also the instructions are obvious and straightforward. I did not think you can fail having a Bissell. This little guy is prepared in 3 minutes, and requires nearly a few minutes to awesome lower if you want to refill it. And That I was surprised about how lengthy it survived without drained of steam; I desired to perform a test run. Throughout the path of half an hour, I washed our kitchen counter tops, sink, glass-top stove, glass tabletop, bathroom sink and vanity, as well as other small products, such as the holders for the Sonicare tooth brushes. It will get into cracks and cracks and blows the grime away (just wipe wherever it falls). I had been just giving it a go out and did not intend on any elaborate cleaning job. After I purged the canister, I could not believe just how much water continued to be! I had been concerned since it did not possess a control to depart the system on however the energy button is really smartly designed that it's not a problem whatsoever. I acquired in to the rhythm of steaming with my left hands and wiping with my right hands, wherever achievable. Being an old hands at business, may I provide a couple of tips. 1. Do as instructed which are shipped with any steam unit. 2. Permit the unit to obtain hot. (The Bissell takes only 3 minutes.) 3. Steam small sections at any given time and wipe immediately having a flannel or paper towel. You are able to clean just about anything -- from lavatories and kitchen areas to light shades and silk plants in addition to BBQ grills and autos. Like every cleaning solution, you have to wipe however the result feels so clean. No residue! I'd recommend this unit.

Review by reditt : Love this little guy! 5 Star

I don't know what the problem was with other reviewers, this little guy makes steam like crazy! I have really enjoyed this steam cleaner! It produces a lot of steam and shoots that steam out in a powerful but controlled jet. I haven't had any problems with excessive dripping and while I do wish the steam would last a little longer, it is not a big deal to me. I just wait a few minutes for pressure to release and steam to cool (believe me, wait. My poor burned fingers will attest to that!) and then you are ready to refill and go! Love it and definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a portable steam cleaner.

Review by emanthey328 : Good steamer for the price 3 Star

This is a handy little steamer. It cleans quickly and efficiently. However, it can't remove everything. You get what you pay for with this one. Fabulous for everyday cleaning, but not so great for deep cleaning..

Review by Bonnie : Great little helper! 5 Star

I just used mine for the first time (bought it elsewhere). I used it to clean the stained grout on the kitchen floor. The dog had gotten into the trash several times, so the grout was stained dark brown from coffee grinds. This little steamer did a good job of removing most of the stain. Looking at two sections - steamed and unsteamed - there is an incredible difference, enough so that my floor will not be embarrassing when I am finished.I used the grout attachment at first, but then switched to the round brush attachment because it is stiffer. Both did a good job, the round brush a little more so. You get three different colored brushes for different uses, for instance, if you want to keep one for the floor and use another on the kitchen counter or in the bathroom. I will be looking to buy more of these brushes, as I can see that they will not last indefinitely, but nothing does!I timed my cleaning. Each session lasted about 20 minutes before I needed to refill. I unplugged first, waited about 10 seconds, and then slowly unscrewed the cap from the reservoir. There was a little hiss but no sputtering. In other words, waiting just a few seconds made it safe to open. While I refilled the measuring cup that comes with it, the unit cooled down enough that I was able to refill immediately. Put the cap back on, plug it in, wait about a minute or two, and I was good to go again for about another 20 minutes of steam. The key to the refilling process is to unplug first so you don't get burned.I used the window attachment to clean dog drool (easily!) off the kitchen sliding doors. There are other attachments that I haven't tried yet, but I'm sure I'll find uses for them. The cord is extra long and heavy duty. This is a handy little cleaner that does have its limitations because of its size. However, the size it an advantage if you just want to clean up something easily and effectively. I bought it because I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a big steamer. I wanted to test try something smaller to see if steam cleaning stands up to its good reputation. It does!.

Review by S. Williams : WOW! 5 Star

If you are searching at hands held cleaners you are most likely much like me. Attempting to be more gentle towards the planet, hate the tough or simply plain strange smells in chemicals. Will I need another gadget? You wager. I really like devices. After tugging this no wonder as they are my primary reaction is at agreement with a few of the negative reviews. It's small. Weighs in at only a wee couple of pounds in the event that. It surely can't hold much water and can most likely exhaust steam very quickly flat. I figure I'll try it out and find out what goes on, for less than $40 I am not expecting magic cleaner and that i can invariably send it back basically hate it right? Includes a variety of little handy dandy accessories which are "color coded for the specific use". (I frankly have no clue why they're color coded because they are all pretty similar in stiffness and never called such anywhere. I'll sure never remember what color is exactly what stiffness.) The bottom line is. It did produce great plumes of steam quickly the softball bat. Because the level drops the same is true the quantity of steam it creates. I could clean the number hood above mind level easily. Held the steamer during my right hands where I can tell the indicator light saying to prevent steaming therefore it can take shape more up (just a few seconds to reheat) it gave out comparable time my arm did and that i required to place it lower anyway. Steam with one hands, wipe using the other. Can't say how hot the steam is, but I saw the grease and muck melting off. Wipe using the other hands. I can not say how lengthy water within the steamer held out. Considerably longer than I was expecting. If this finally did I had been grateful when i is at dire will need a break. It may be time intensive. I'd say no more than should you be utilizing a spray cleaner along with a rag. It's certainly faster in case your range hood would be a gross as mine because it might have taken several tries to get all of the gunk off then rinse the harmful chemicals off as well. The cord is really a nice length, your window squeegee is really a nice bonus also. All of the add-ons are small , toy like. The system is small so I'm not sure things i was surprised. My only complaint is my hands and arm ended up getting tired. I do not imagine I'm going to be dashing throughout the house when i did today giving it a go on different surfaces and area's frequently. I'll utilize it as and where needed. It will likely be right aware of my EnviroSteamer floor cleaner making my existence a bit more natural and chemical free.
